Tracks

Available from the start, you can play the Mushroom Cup, Flower Cup and the Star Cup when you first receive the game. You have to earn the last three cups, and to find out how to get them, you'll have to wait until the game is released! There are no longer any spoilers listed here until Nov. 18th. (Better track descriptions will insue when the game is released.)

Mushroom Cup
Mushroom Cup

  • Luigi Circuit: Much like Luigi Raceway from MK 64, except with a Chain Chomp and a couple of speed boosters here and there and a ramp. Nothing too eye popping, but definetly an improvement from Luigi Raceway. Also contains true shortcuts that actually go around the whole track.
  • Peach Beach: Super Mario Sunshine fans will be in sunshine heaven! Follow a track along delfino townspeople, beaches and all around Isle Delfino. Shortcuts include actually pummeling through beach shores.
  • Baby Park: 7 laps of a simple, amusement park setting. There is a ferris wheel, roller coasters and other rides going on while you race. That's about it...
  • Dry Dry Desert: A short desert track that includes difficult obstacles. Not only is there a huge sandstorm that is able to lift you up straight into the sky, there are also piranha plants that leap out of the ground and try to gobble you up. Short, but tricky!

Flower Cup

  • Mushroom Bridge: A race full of shortcuts. Players claim the shortcuts aren't the easiest to overcome either. Consisting of tunnels, other oncoming vehicles, and like mentioned before, plenty of shortcuts.
  • Mario Circuit: Just like his brother, Mario gets his own track as well (of course.) Much like Royal Raceway, Peach's Castle can be seen in the distance. Nothing too out of the ordinary, just try and avoid piranha plants wanting a tasty treat and make sure to turn sharp into the tunnels.
  • Daisy Cruiser: The craziest race ever; drive IN a boat! Tour the entire boat inside and out. Drive past swimming pools, dining tables, deck stairs and possibly passengers.
  • Waluigi Stadium: A replica of MK 64's 'Wario Stadium.' However, this track consists of hoops of fire and pesky piranha plants to cause havoc while you race. An aspect of this track that resembles Wario's Stadium so much is that it holds a large ramp for you to jump, and PLENTY of race time. Waluigi's Stadium is however a bit shorter than Wario Stadium.

Star Cup

  • Sherbet Land: Resembles Diddy Kong Racing's 'Frosty Village.' Race through icy caves, snowy tracks and pummel through snow fall. Nothing out of the ordinary, every Mario Kart must consist of some winter-like race track! Now, instead of penguins, you'll have to avoid ice-skating Shy Guy's.
  • Mushroom City: A much longer version of Toad's Turnpike, but much more complicated. A track full of shortcuts and alley's to throw you off track promises a high difficulty. Not only will you be in a city atmosphere, you'll once again have to avoid trucks, cars and other oncomming traffic.
  • Yoshi Circuit: Probably the hardest track in Double Dash. This course is actually SHAPED like Yoshi! Relentless sharp turns, it definetly will take some practice to manuever the tricks of this race.
  • DK's Mountain: A large track consisting of dirt roads, mountains and rickety bridges. The main 'wow' of this track is the barrel cannon that shoots you 350 miles per hour into the air, reaching a radius of 75 miles in 10 seconds! Your rider holds on for their lives in this length of air time. Another cool feature is the rickety bridge at the end of the track, which swings left and right as racers drive on it. This is no doubt going to be one of the most thrilling tracks.
